Up or down?

Does the nation, its folk working or not, in health or not, in hope or despair, of diverse belief surely go forth from the aspirations of Roosevelt, Kennedy and King or retreat to lynchings real or implied, prejudice, inequality, intolerance and no compromise?

That may be the real trial decision in the Senate.

    The current status of the impeachment trial disheartening. The case was made beyond the shadow of a doubt that Trump is guilty as charged. His defenders have not and will not put up any kind of legal defense because the fix is in. The only hope for the republic is the November election as Democrats (we) once again begin to eat our own. Will Bernie’s people again not show up? Will African Americans stay home because one candidate or another doesn’t show purity in ideals? Will the perfect destroy the good?
